Today in warm spring temperatures over 23 degrees about 25,000 people joined the Sydney running festival and ran a Marathon, Halfmarathon, Bridge- or Family Run. Andreas and our friend Andreas took on the 42.195 km Marathon. The "family moral support unit" (Corinne, me and the kids) set up our first meeting point in Clarence Street at km 26 where Sebastian and Kim did their best to encourage the runners by cheering and clapping.
We then moved on to meeting point number 2 at Sussex Street (km 38) which was only a few hundered meters for us but considerably longer for the runners as they had to run all the way to Leichhardt and back in full sun. By that time quite a few runners could only walk suffering from cramps and were really greatful for the cheering crowd giving them support on the last kilometres. Andreas (red) pushing his limits but still runing.
And of course not to miss: "Marathon Man" by that time clearly regretting his decision to run in in a fancy dress ...
